Example entry — what a documented job looks like here
An example of the format, not a real job. Each section below says what belongs in it. Real cases replace this entry as they are written up.
What the customer reported
What the customer said when they called, in their own words — not rewritten into shop language.
What the scanner said
The codes that came up, and what the previous shop or the dealer concluded from them. The distance between those two is what this section exists to show.
What it actually was
What the fault actually turned out to be once it was traced — the wire, the connector, the ground or the module, named exactly.
How it was found
The step that identified it and roughly how long it took: the measurement, the instrument, the procedure. No other shop in this area publishes this part, which is why it is the most valuable section on the page.
